Cemetery's Regulations and Rules for Headstones and Grave Markers
Most Cemeteries have regulations regarding either size, shape, color.
In addition, many of the Cemeteries have fees for foundations and or installation of the Headstone.
We created this section to assist you with the necessary questions to ask the Cemetery when you speak with them.
Here are questions to ask: It's best to get a copy faxed to you for your records.
- What type of memorial is allowed where your loved one is
interred?
Granite or Bronze?
- Are there any permits or applications that are required
- Is there an installation and or foundation fee? - how much is it?
- Next, what style - flat, slant or upright headstone.
- What size is allowed? (The Cemetery will be able to give you
either exact measurements or minimum and maximum feet and inches for the plot.)
- Do they allow vases?
- Are there any restrictions for granite color?
