Companion Grave Markers can be made of Granite or Bronze.
There are also 2 types. Side by side grave markers that are made for loved ones who are layed
to rest next to each other.
The other type of Companion Grave Marker is a double interment Grave Marker.
This type of Grave Marker is used when the plot of both deceased are 1 grave wide and 2 graves
deep. It is important to know which kind you have because a double interment will have
restrictions on the size even though the grave marker is for 2 loved ones/

If the grave marker is granite, then a lettering engraver would come out to the cemetery and
engrave it when that time comes. Usually you can let your Funeral Director know and he can

If the grave marker is a Bronze grave marker, then you must purchase a bronze scroll with the
date of passing that needs to be attached to the existing grave marker.
